Editorial Policy
The Contemporary Journal of Science and Technology (CJST) adopts and strictly adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authorship
An author is defined as an individual who has made significant intellectual contributions to the manuscript.
Acknowledgment
Individuals who contributed to the development of the manuscript but do not meet authorship criteria, as well as organizations providing funding or resources, should be acknowledged.

Authors must read the "Instructions for Authors" on the journal’s website prior to submission. Manuscripts must comply with the journal’s formatting guidelines. All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria above and approve the final version before submission. Submission implies all authors have reviewed and consented to the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest (COI) arises when private interests compete with scientific responsibilities, potentially influencing judgment. Reviewers must disclose COIs and decline reviews where conflicts exist. Editors will recuse themselves from handling manuscripts with COIs and reassign them.
Confidentiality
Submitted manuscripts are confidential. CJST discloses materials only to individuals involved in processing/publication (e.g., editorial staff, reviewers, editors). In cases of suspected misconduct, documents may be shared with ethics committees or relevant institutions.
Peer Review
CJST employs a double-blind review process:
- Author and reviewer identities remain concealed.
- Manuscripts are assigned to editorial board members or qualified national/international reviewers.
- Two reviewers’ reports are required per manuscript
Authors receive anonymized reviewer reports. Two reviews are required per manuscript.
Editors make final decisions (Accept, Reject, or Further Revision).
Misconduct
Misconduct includes violations of this policy, publication ethics, or actions compromising research/publishing integrity.
Correction and Retraction
Corrections require editorial board approval. Published articles may be retracted following COPE standards.
